Pflugerville Connally Cougars (Austin, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Elgin Wildcats (Elgin, TX), 28-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Pflugerville Connally upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Cougars travel to Georgetown (Georgetown, TX) to clash with the Eagles in a 5A Region III District 23 bout on Thursday, December 21. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 13-4. Georgetown won 56-29 in their recent league bout against Pflugerville (Pflugerville, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Caldwell Hornets (Caldwell, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Elgin will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 65-5 league win over Austin Achieve (Austin, TX).
