The Timberlake Christian Tornadoes basketball team (Forest, VA), was overwhelmed 57-14 in Friday's non-league battle with the host New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA)

The Gryphons now possess a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host James River HomeSchool for a non-league battle on Friday, January 5. New Covenant will confront a Eagles team coming off a 49-27 non-league win over Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot (Powhatan, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 3-1.

The Tornadoes (1-5) will now prepare for their battle against Christian Heritage Academy (Rocky Mount, VA). The Knights come into the non-league battle with a 1-3 record. In their last battle, Christian Heritage Academy trounced Roanoke Valley Christian (Roanoke, VA), 24-18, in a league battle.
