December 16, 2023: Raymond, IL 62560 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL) and the host Lincolnwood Lancers (Raymond, IL), saw Southwestern's basketball squad overcome Lincolnwood by a tally of 39-26.
With the victory, Southwestern improves its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Piasa Birds travel to Carrollton (Carrollton, IL) to confront the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 9-4. Carrollton won 49-42 in their recent league challenge against Pleasant Hill/Western (Pleasant Hill, IL)
Next up, the Lancers confront the Carlinville Cavaliers (Carlinville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 18. Lincolnwood will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 64-21 non-league win over Mt. Olive (Mt. Olive, IL).
