California High School Basketball - Canyon topped by Newbury Park
December 17, 2022: Newbury Park, CA 91320 The Newbury Park Panthers basketball team scored 73 points and restricted the visiting Canyon Cowboys to 64 in the Panthers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Panthers now sport a 11-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Golden Valley for a non-league contest on Monday, December 19. Newbury Park will battle a Grizzlies team coming off a 68-57 non-league win over Lancaster (Lancaster, CA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 7-3.
The Cowboys (9-4) will now prepare for their contest against La Canada (La Canada, CA). The Spartans come into the non-league contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, La Canada prevailed over Flintridge Prep (La Canada, CA), 47-44, in a non-league contest.
