In Tuesday's league contest, the host Frankford Pioneers basketball team scored a close 52-51 win over the Central Lancers.

The Pioneers (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Science Leadership Academy at Beeber (Philadelphia, PA). The Rockets come into the Philadelphia Public - Liberty contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Science Leadership Academy at Beeber edged Boys' Latin Charter (Philadelphia, PA), 55-32, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Lancers battle the Paul Robeson Huskies (Philadelphia, PA) in a Philadelphia Public - Liberty contest, on Thursday, December 19.
