In Tuesday's league contest, the host Midland Trail Patriots basketball team scored a good 57-45 triumph over the Greenbrier West Cavaliers.

The Patriots (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Clay County (Clay, WV). The Panthers go into the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Clay County was topped by Nicholas County (Summersville, WV), 67-50, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Cavaliers battle the Montcalm Generals (Montcalm, WV) in a Coalfield A contest, on Wednesday, December 18. Greenbrier West will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record.
