The North Star Cougars (Boswell, PA) basketball nipped the host McConnellsburg Spartans (McConnellsburg, PA), 49-43 in Monday's non-league test.

The Cougars (4-1) will now prepare for their test against Windber (Windber, PA). The Ramblers go into the non-league test with a 3-3 record. In their last test, Windber got by Bedford (Bedford, PA), 63-39, in a non-league test.

The Spartans now own a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Shalom Christian Academy for a non-league test on Thursday, December 21. McConnellsburg will encounter a Flames squad coming off a 69-58 non-league win over GVCS Broadfording (Hagerstown, MD). The Flames record now stands at 1-2.
