The Spring Valley Vikings (Columbia, SC) basketball edged the visiting Lexington Wildcats (Lexington, SC), 59-57 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Vikings now possess a 6-3 record. They play next when they host Dutch Fork for a non-league bout on Friday, December 20. Spring Valley will play a Silver Foxes team coming off a 59-42 non-league win over A.C. Flora (Columbia, SC). The Silver Foxes record now stands at 8-0.

With the loss, Lexington falls to 5-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Lakewood (Sumter, SC) to play the Gators in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 21. The Gators go into the bout with a record of 5-4. Lakewood lost 47-35 in their recent league bout against Wilson (Florence, SC)
