In Tuesday's league match, the host Wise Pumas basketball team scored a tight 67-63 triumph over the Laurel Spartans.

In their next game, the Pumas face the Lake Taylor Titans (Norfolk, VA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, December 28. Wise will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The Titans enter the match with a 7-0 record after their 70-28 league win over Booker T. Washington (Norfolk, VA).
