December 19, 2023: Carlisle, KY 40311 The Whitley County Colonels (Williamsburg, KY) basketball felled the host Nicholas County Bluejackets (Carlisle, KY), 65-56 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Colonels (8-1) will now prepare for their test against Belfry (Belfry, KY). The Pirates go into the non-league test with a 3-2 record. In their last test, Belfry thwarted Grundy (Grundy, VA), 66-52, in a non-league test.
The Bluejackets now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they host Eminence for a non-league test on Thursday, December 21. Nicholas County will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 53-43 league loss to Henry County (New Castle, KY). The Warriors record now stands at 0-7.
