North Carolina High School Basketball - Veritas Collegiate Academy tipped by Washington County

The Washington County Panthers basketball team scored 80 points and held the visiting Veritas Collegiate Academy Spartans to 76 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Currituck County for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 27. Washington County will meet a Knights team coming off a 50-43 non-league loss to Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA). The Knights record now stands at 4-3.

The Spartans (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Northumberland (Heathsville, VA). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Northumberland was nudged by Christchurch School (Christchurch, VA), 61-46, in a non-league contest.
