Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Burges Mustangs (El Paso, TX) and the host Mesquite Skeeters (Mesquite, TX), saw Burges's basketball squad wallop Mesquite by a tally of 59-34.

With the win, Burges advances its record to 13-1 on the season. The Mustangs travel to North Mesquite (Mesquite, TX) to encounter the Stallions in a non-league test on Friday, December 2. The Stallions go into the test with a record of 4-7. North Mesquite lost 45-29 in their recent non-league test against Trinity Leadership (Cedar Hill, TX)
