The Canyon Springs Pioneers basketball team scored 41 points and held the visiting Cheyenne Desert Shields to 24 in the Pioneers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Pioneers now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Legacy for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 21. Canyon Springs will play a Longhorns squad coming off a 33-30 non-league win over Valley (Las Vegas, NV). The Longhorns record now stands at 4-5.

Next up, the Desert Shields play the Bonanza Bengals (Las Vegas, NV) in a 4A Sky challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Cheyenne will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Bengals come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 84-29 league loss to Legacy (North Las Vegas, NV).
