North Carolina High School Basketball - Independence victorious over Charlotte Catholic

In Friday's league contest, the visiting Independence Patriots basketball team scored a good 63-51 triumph over the Charlotte Catholic Cougars.

The Patriots (9-1) will now prepare for their contest against Butler (Augusta, GA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Butler topped Grovetown (Grovetown, GA), 61-44, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic Friars/Pandas (Drexel Hill, PA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 27. Charlotte Catholic will attempt to better on its 9-1 season record. The Friars/Pandas go into the contest with a 5-0 record after their 63-54 non-league win over Plymouth Whitemarsh (Plymouth Meeting, PA).
