St. Anthony's Friars (Melville, NY) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their basketball team knock off the host Monsignor Scanlan Crusaders (Bronx, NY), 72-59 in a non-league challenge.

The Friars (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Tappan Zee (Orangeburg, NY). The Dutchmen come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Tappan Zee prevailed over Peekskill (Peekskill, NY), 66-44, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Crusaders battle the Cardinal Hayes Cardinals (Bronx, NY) in a Catholic AA - New York challenge, on Sunday, December 29. Monsignor Scanlan will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record.
