In Friday's non-league contest, the host North Central Hurricanes basketball team scored a good 59-48 triumph over the Port Barre Red Devils.

The Hurricanes (4-10) will now prepare for their contest against Brusly (Brusly, LA). The Panthers go into the non-league contest with a 10-2 record. In their last contest, Brusly topped Dutchtown (Geismar, LA), 70-31, in a non-league contest.
