In Friday's non-league contest, the host Sidney Red Raiders basketball team scored a big 71-37 triumph over the Torrington Trailblazers.

The Red Raiders (6-0) will now prepare for their contest against East (Cheyenne, WY). The Thunderbirds go into the non-league contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, East was trounced by Scottsbluff (Scottsbluff, NE), 80-67, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Trailblazers confront the Glenrock Herders (Glenrock, WY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 11. Torrington will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record.
