South Carolina High School Basketball - Blacksburg thwarts Liberty

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Blacksburg Wildcats (Blacksburg, SC) and the host Liberty Red Devils (Liberty, SC), observed Blacksburg's basketball team knock off Liberty by a score of 48-28.

The Wildcats (8-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Bethune-Bowman (Orangeburg, SC). The Mohawks come into the non-league challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, Bethune-Bowman was knocked off by Airport (West Columbia, SC), 51-23, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Red Devils encounter the Crescent Tigers (Iva, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 27. Liberty will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 40-14 non-league win over Dixie (Due West, SC).
