Arizona High School Basketball - Gila Ridge can't hold off Mountain Pointe

The Mountain Pointe Pride basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Gila Ridge Hawks to 60 in the Pride non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Pride now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Saguaro for a non-league match on Monday, December 26. Mountain Pointe will meet a Sabercats team coming off a 69-59 non-league loss to Shadow Ridge (Surprise, AZ). The Sabercats record now stands at 3-8.

With the defeat, Gila Ridge moves to 0-8 on the year. The Hawks host Yuma (Yuma, AZ) to meet the Criminals in a non-league match on Monday, January 9. The Criminals enter the match with a record of 1-5. Yuma lost 59-51 in their recent non-league match against Cibola (Yuma, AZ)
