Kentucky High School Basketball - Calloway County knocked off by Jonesboro
December 21, 2023: Murray, KY 42071 The Jonesboro Hurricane basketball team scored 60 points and held the host Calloway County Lakers to 45 in the Hurricane non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Hurricane now sport a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Middle Tennessee Christian for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 27. Jonesboro will battle a Cougars team coming off a 76-60 league loss to Franklin Road Academy (Nashville, TN). The Cougars record now stands at 1-9.
The Lakers (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Frederick Douglass (Lexington, KY). The Broncos enter the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Frederick Douglass was defeated by De La Salle (Chicago, IL), 77-64, in a non-league contest.
