The South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) basketball felled the visiting Clover Blue Eagles (Clover, SC), 71-56 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Sabres (9-0) will now prepare for their test against Mill Creek (Hoschton, GA). The Hawks go into the non-league test with a 6-5 record. In their last test, Mill Creek thwarted White Oak (Jacksonville, NC), 52-50, in a non-league test.

The Blue Eagles now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Independence for a non-league test on Friday, December 22. Clover will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 56-36 non-league win over Rockdale County (Conyers, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 7-3.
