Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Marcos de Niza Padres (Tempe, AZ) and the host Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks (Tucson, AZ), saw Marcos de Niza's basketball squad hold off Ironwood Ridge by a count of 61-56.

With the victory, Marcos de Niza upgrades its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Padres travel to Casa Grande (Casa Grande, AZ) to play the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 22. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 1-6. Casa Grande lost 48-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Copper Canyon (Glendale, AZ)
