North Carolina High School Basketball - Freedom fells Draughn

Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), 52-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Freedom upgrades its record to 6-4 on the season. The Patriots host Rising Stars Prep Academy (Statesville, NC) to clash with the Stars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 26. The Stars go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Asheville School (Independent) Blues (Asheville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 26. Draughn will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Blues go into the bout with a 7-1 record after their 57-16 non-league win over Clover Garden School (Burlington, NC).
