Southwest Florida Christian King's (Fort Myers, FL) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting DeSoto County Bulldogs (Arcadia, FL), 70-65 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Southwest Florida Christian advances its record to 7-3 on the year. The King's travel to Martin County (Stuart, FL) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Wednesday, January 1. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 8-0.

The Bulldogs now own a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Avon Park for a non-league match on Monday, January 6. DeSoto County will face a Red Devils squad coming off a 80-65 non-league win over Jordan Christian Prep Sunshine (Auburndale, FL). The Red Devils record now stands at 9-1.
