December 21, 2024: New Iberia, LA 70560 In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Westgate Tigers basketball team scored a close 73-69 triumph over the Iowa Yellowjackets.
The Tigers (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Sulphur (Sulphur, LA). The Golden Tors go into the non-league contest with a 10-2 record. In their last contest, Sulphur nipped Lake Arthur (Lake Arthur, LA), 88-45, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Yellowjackets battle the St. Charles Catholic Comets (LaPlace, LA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 27. Iowa will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Comets go into the contest with a 4-3 record after their 48-40 non-league loss to Madison Prep Academy (Baton Rouge, LA).
