Virginia High School Basketball - Kellam triumphant over Phoebus
December 21, 2024: Hampton, VA 23663 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Kellam Knights (Virginia Beach, VA) and the host Phoebus Phantoms (Hampton, VA), observed Kellam's basketball team overwhelm Phoebus by a score of 62-34.
The Knights (9-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Salem (Virginia Beach, VA). The Sundevils come into the Beach challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, Salem was routed by Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA), 50-34, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Phantoms encounter the Churchland Truckers (Portsmouth, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 27. Phoebus will attempt to improve on its 3-6 season record. The Truckers come into the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 74-67 non-league win over Varina (Richmond, VA).
