The Rio Linda Knights basketball team scored 56 points and limited the visiting Valley Christian Lions to 53 in the Knights non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Knights now have a 2-9 record. They play next when they travel to East Nicolaus for a non-league game on Thursday, December 26. Rio Linda will confront a Spartans team coming off a 44-28 non-league win over Wheatland (Wheatland, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 5-5.

With the loss, Valley Christian falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Lions host Argonaut (Jackson, CA) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league game on Friday, January 3. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 10-2.
