Nebraska High School Basketball - East nips Sidney
December 21, 2024: Sidney, NE 69162 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the East Thunderbirds (Cheyenne, WY) and the host Sidney Red Raiders (Sidney, NE), observed East's basketball team edge Sidney by a margin of 56-52.
The Thunderbirds (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Sheridan (Sheridan, WY). The Broncs come into the 4A East challenge with a 5-0 record. In their last challenge, Sheridan edged Natrona County (Casper, WY), 45-34, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Red Raiders battle the Alliance Bulldogs (Alliance, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 3. Sidney will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 46-38 non-league loss to Chadron (Chadron, NE).
