The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Germantown Mavericks (Madison, MS) and the host New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS), observed Germantown's basketball team overcome New Hope by a margin of 53-45.

The Mavericks (9-6) will now prepare for their challenge against North Pike (Summit, MS). The Jaguars come into the non-league challenge with a 11-2 record. In their last challenge, North Pike dropped by Natchez (Natchez, MS), 55-44, in a league challenge.
