The Lancaster Bruins basketball squad (Lancaster, SC), was crushed 79-46 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Spring Valley Vikings (Columbia, SC)

With the victory, Spring Valley advances its record to 7-4 on the year. The Vikings travel to Mauldin (Mauldin, SC) to meet the Mavericks in a non-league battle on Monday, December 23. The Mavericks enter the battle with a record of 8-1. Mauldin won 43-21 in their recent non-league battle against Denmark-Olar (Denmark, SC)

The Bruins now own a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Richland Northeast for a AAAA Region 3 battle on Monday, January 6. Lancaster will meet a Cavaliers squad coming off a 50-38 non-league loss to Northside Christian Academy (Lexington, SC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 5-7.
