The Monroe Redhawks basketball squad (Monroe, NC), was crushed 83-35 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA)

With the victory, Nansemond River advances its record to 5-1 on the year. The Warriors host L.C. Bird (Chesterfield, VA) to meet the Skyhawks in a non-league battle on Saturday, December 28. The Skyhawks enter the battle with a record of 3-2. L.C. Bird lost 47-42 in their recent league battle against Manchester (Midlothian, VA)

The Redhawks now own a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Piedmont for a 2A/3A Rocky River battle on Friday, January 3.
