Watertown/Pomperaug Indians (Watertown, CT) boosters went home thrilled Saturday as they witnessed their ice hockey squad nip the host North Branford Thunderbirds (North Branford, CT), 3-2 in a league test.

Next, the Indians face the Cheshire Rams (Cheshire, CT) in a Southern Connecticut - DII test, on Saturday, January 4. Watertown/Pomperaug will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record.

The Thunderbirds (0-3) will now prepare for their test against Hamden (Hamden, CT). The Green Dragons come into the non-league test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Hamden was edged by Westhill (Stamford, CT), 3-1, in a non-league test.
