North Carolina High School Basketball - Volunteer knocked off by Hopewell

The Hopewell Titans basketball team scored 69 points and held the visiting Volunteer Falcons to 54 in the Titans non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Titans now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ashley for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 27. Hopewell will meet a Screaming Eagle team coming off a 48-45 league loss to West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC). The Screaming Eagle record now stands at 2-4.

The Falcons (10-5) will now prepare for their contest against Tri-Cities Christian (Blountville, TN). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 9-6 record. In their last contest, Tri-Cities Christian was outscored by Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY), 81-48, in a non-league contest.
