In Thursday's non-league match, the host San Diego Cavers basketball team scored a tight 40-39 triumph over the Central Spartans.

In their next game, the Cavers meet the Holtville Vikings (Holtville, CA) in a non-league match, on Friday, December 23. San Diego will attempt to move on its 14-0 season record. The Vikings enter the match with a 8-4 record after their 56-30 non-league win over Lincoln (San Diego, CA).
