Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains (Bascom, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host St. Joseph Central Catholic Crimson Streaks (Fremont, OH), 57-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Hopewell-Loudon upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Chieftains host St. Mary Central Catholic (Sandusky, OH) to clash with the Panthers in a Sandusky Bay - River bout on Thursday, January 4. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 3-4.

Next up, the Crimson Streaks clash with the Vanlue Wildcats (Vanlue, OH) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. St. Joseph Central Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record.
