The Mandarin Mustangs basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Lake Wales Highlanders to 64 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Baker County for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 23. Mandarin will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 53-52 non-league loss to Orange Park (Orange Park, FL). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-6.

The Highlanders (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Columbia (Lake City, FL). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Columbia was nudged by Ribault (Jacksonville, FL), 57-42, in a non-league contest.
