In Friday's non-league outing, the Marion Swamp Foxes (Marion, SC) basketball squad nipped the host Sumter Gamecocks (Sumter, SC), by a margin of 59-53.

The Swamp Foxes (6-4) will now prepare for their outing against South Florence (Florence, SC). The Bruins go into the non-league outing with a 5-5 record. In their last outing, South Florence got by Philip Simmons (Charleston, SC), 79-69, in a non-league outing.
