Nevada High School Basketball - South Tahoe thwarts Mineral County

December 26, 2024: Hawthorne, NV 89415

The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the South Tahoe Vikings (South Lake Tahoe, CA) and the host Mineral County Serpents (Hawthorne, NV), observed South Tahoe's basketball team knock off Mineral County by a score of 64-53.

The Vikings (9-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Fernley (Fernley, NV). The Vaqueros come into the non-league challenge with a 6-4 record. In their last challenge, Fernley prevailed over Mineral County (Hawthorne, NV), 72-49, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Serpents encounter the Sparks Railroaders (Sparks, NV) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 27. Mineral County will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record. The Railroaders come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 85-44 non-league loss to McQueen (Reno, NV).
