In Thursday's non-league test, the Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) basketball squad trounced the visiting Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC), by a score of 67-11.

Next, the Patriots encounter the East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC) in a non-league test, on Friday, December 27. Freedom will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Cavaliers come into the test with a 2-8 record after their 76-52 non-league win over Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC).

The Mountaineers (0-8) will now prepare for their test against Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC). The Yellow Jackets come into the non-league test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, Bessemer City was routed by Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy (Mooresboro, NC), 64-57, in a league test.
