Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Union Area fells Quaker Valley

Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Quaker Valley Quakers (Leetsdale, PA), 59-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Union Area upgrades its record to 5-0 on the season. The Scotties travel to Wilmington (New Wilmington, PA) to clash with the Greyhounds in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 29. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a record of 1-5.

Next up, the Quakers clash with the East Allegheny Wild Cats (North Versailles, PA) in a WPIAL 4A 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Quaker Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record.
