In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) basketball squad nipped the visiting Asheville School (Independent) Blues (Asheville, NC), by a margin of 63-62.

The Patriots (8-4) will now prepare for their outing against Concord Academy (Concord, NC). The Eagles go into the non-league outing with a 9-1 record. In their last outing, Concord Academy got by Hibriten (Lenoir, NC), 62-48, in a non-league outing.

The Blues now own a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to Hibriten for a non-league outing on Thursday, December 28. Asheville School (Independent) will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 62-48 non-league loss to Concord Academy (Concord, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 9-1.
