December 27, 2023: Welsh, LA 70591 Mamou Demons (Mamou, LA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Welsh Greyhounds (Welsh, LA), 42-32 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Mamou upgrades its record to 6-10 on the season. The Demons host Basile (Basile, LA) to play the Bearcats in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Bearcats go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Basile won 45-19 in their recent non-league bout against Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA)
Next up, the Greyhounds play the Sacred Heart Trojans (Ville Platte, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Welsh will attempt to upgrade on its 1-16 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 15-4 record after their 59-57 non-league loss to Oberlin (Oberlin, LA).
