Texas High School Basketball - West Rusk holds off Hughes Springs
December 27, 2024: Hughes Springs, TX 75656 The West Rusk Raiders basketball team scored 40 points and limited the host Hughes Springs Mustangs to 35 in the Raiders non-league triumph on Friday.
The Raiders now have a 8-5 record. They play next when they travel to Lindale for a non-league game on Saturday, December 28. West Rusk will confront a Eagles team coming off a 75-25 non-league win over Harmony (Big Sandy, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 7-12.
With the loss, Hughes Springs falls to 8-11 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Harleton (Harleton, TX) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 31. The Wildcats go into the game with a record of 4-16. Harleton lost 73-55 in their recent non-league game against Alto (Alto, TX)
