December 27, 2024: Athens, TN 37303 The Madison County Red Raiders (Danielsville, GA) basketball edged the host McMinn County Cherokees (Athens, TN), 58-51 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Red Raiders now possess a 12-2 record. They play next when they travel to Lebanon for a non-league bout on Saturday, December 28. Madison County will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 73-53 non-league loss to East Hall (Gainesville, GA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 4-7.
With the loss, McMinn County falls to 8-7 on the campaign. The Cherokees travel to Bradley Central (Cleveland, TN) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Monday, January 6. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Bradley Central lost 52-44 in their recent non-league bout against Maryville (Maryville, TN)
