The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mountain Heritage Cougars (Burnsville, NC) and the visiting West Henderson Falcons (Hendersonville, NC), observed Mountain Heritage's basketball team knock off West Henderson by a score of 70-61.

The Cougars (7-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Loveland (Loveland, OH). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Loveland was knocked off by Little Miami (Morrow, OH), 40-37, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Falcons encounter the Erwin Warriors (Asheville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 28. West Henderson will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 51-44 non-league win over West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC).
