Saucon Valley Panthers (Hellertown, PA) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Tamaqua Blue Raiders (Tamaqua, PA), 57-56 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Saucon Valley advances its record to 5-3 on the year. The Panthers travel to Wilson Area (Easton, PA) to face the Warriors in a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 6-2. Wilson Area won 76-51 in their recent league match against Palisades (Kintnersville, PA)

The Blue Raiders now own a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Schuylkill Haven for a non-league match on Monday, December 30. Tamaqua will face a Hurricanes squad coming off a 77-39 non-league loss to Mahanoy Area (Mahanoy City, PA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 5-5.
