In Friday's non-league contest, the host Blacksburg Wildcats basketball team scored a big 55-32 triumph over the Union County Yellowjackets.

The Wildcats (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against Spartanburg Day (Spartanburg, SC). The Griffins go into the non-league contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Spartanburg Day was trounced by Greenville Hurricanes (Greenville, SC), 49-27, in a non-league contest.
