In Friday's non-league contest, the host Burroughs Bears basketball team scored a good 61-43 triumph over the Highland Bulldogs.

The Bears (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against Valencia (Valencia, CA). The Vikings go into the non-league contest with a 12-2 record. In their last contest, Valencia topped Arleta (Arleta, CA), 63-36, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bulldogs confront the Mira Costa Mustangs (Manhattan Beach, CA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 28. Highland will attempt to better on its 8-8 season record.
