In Friday's non-league test, the Eastern Greene Thunderbirds (Bloomfield, IN) basketball squad got by the visiting Mt. Vernon Wildcats (Mt. Vernon, IN), by a final score of 32-28.

Next, the Thunderbirds clash with the North Daviess Cougars (Elnora, IN) in a Southwestern Indiana test, on Saturday, January 4. Eastern Greene will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Cougars come into the test with a 5-7 record after their 49-20 non-league loss to Evansville Christian (Evansville, IN).
