December 27, 2024: Greensboro, PA 15338 The Mapletown Maples (Greensboro, PA) basketball edged the visiting Hundred Hornets (Hundred, WV), 1-0 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Maples now possess a 2-8 record. They play next when they host Carlynton for a non-league bout on Friday, December 27. Mapletown will play a Cougars team coming off a 66-18 league loss to Fort Cherry (McDonald, PA). The Cougars record now stands at 3-4.
With the loss, Hundred falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Jeannette (Jeannette, PA) to play the Jayhawks in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 28. The Jayhawks go into the bout with a record of 2-4. Jeannette lost 70-21 in their recent league bout against Riverview (Oakmont, PA)
